Established in Shanghai, Pao was founded in 2020 with a singular mission: to architect a new type of soda.
We achieve this by fusing the precision of modern mixology with the profound and diverse flavours of China's unique terroir.
We don't make "better than"; we create "never tasted before".

THE FOUNDATION
We begin by meticulously brewing whole-leaf teas. This hot-brewing technique is fundamental, allowing us to extract a complex and stable structural backbone— capturing the desired aromatics, body, and subtle tannins while leaving harshness behind.
This is the soul of our drink.

THE BODY
Upon this foundation, we build the body. We layer vibrant, NFC juices from across China, not for a single note, but to create a lush, multi-dimensional core of flavour that is both complex and harmonious.

THE ACCENT
Finally, we accent and fortify. A precise selection of natural extracts intensifies key characteristics and introduces volatile top notes that would otherwise be lost. This final step ensures a perfectly rounded, layered experience from the first scent to the lasting finish.
